Halloween Workshop
We had a super spooky time at The Teacup Doodles Halloween workshop this month. I’m a bit of a fan of Halloween because I love the excuse to get dressed up. I wanted to create a fun, party atmosphere for the children so I decorated the room in advance with Halloween themed decorations and balloons.
Some children arrived in fancy dress and everyone arrived full of enthusiasm. They soon set to work doodling their favourite Halloween characters and some created their own gruesome doodles and unique characters. I loved seeing their imaginations run wild and appear on the paper.
The session was a lovely mix of boys and girls and ages ranged from 6 to 10 years during the day. Some of the children like to follow a ‘how to doodle’ resource, while others like to dive straight in and use their imaginations to create something new. I always tell the children there is no right or wrong way to doodle, just their own way!
There was certainly some gruesome doodles from the boys as they completely got into the Halloween spirit! We laughed and giggled our way through the sessions, listening to the children excitedly sharing their work and ideas.
A big thank you to all the children for making the day such a joy to host and to the awesome parents for encouraging and valuing creativity for their children. Everyone left with their Teacup Doodle gift, fabulous artwork and big smiles!
