Happy New Year! I firstly want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who ordered doodles for Christmas. I thoroughly enjoyed creating all your thoughtfully considered artwork and it made my heart burst receiving little thank you messages to say how much your friends and family enjoyed receiving them.
I ran my first Children’s Doodle Workshop in December, which was a huge success. Thank you to all the parents who booked and to all children for trying their best and being so lovely and entertaining! The theme was of course ‘Christmas’ and the children learnt to doodle their favourite festive characters and experiment with their own ideas. I will be organising another workshop very soon so keep an eye open for news.
I’m a big fan of New Year. I like packing away the decorations, having a good old Spring clean and making plans for the year ahead. I’m trying to get some travel plans booked in as my favourite thing to do is visit new places and gain new experiences. There are so many amazing places in the UK that I’d like to see and with my new National Trust Membership card in my wallet, I’m keen to tick off plenty of historical places of interest and crazy beautiful stately homes too.
I’ve been having a little think about goals and intentions for the year ahead but I’m not in a rush to put too much pressure on myself. On a personal level, having turned 40 last year, I’d like to get fitter and healthier than ever but not just in the physical sense. I’m finally learning the importance of ‘self-care’ by prioritising my emotional well-being and happiness. Keeping my mind, body and soul in tip top condition feels the most important intention to have!
When I’m feeling healthy and happy, I have more energy and enthusiasm to channel into my business. I’m hoping 2019 will bring exciting new opportunities and collaborations. I’d like to run regular Children’s Doodle workshops and look forward to working with many more wonderful families, helping them to create their own bespoke artwork and thoughtful gifts for loved ones…..creating smiles with every brushstroke.
What are your New Year Intentions?
